Day 3 LFRV

by Ibis on December 15, 2010

Woke up with my legs really sore,  so I took the day off  from exercise and rested.
It always amazes me how quickly I see a I change when I switch my diet to raw. I  feel lighter and I don’t wake up with a puffy face or morning breath. Another thing I have noticed is that I haven’t used as many tissues as I usually do, which I am sure is because I haven’t had any dairy in 3 days. This all keeps me motivated. Speaking of motivation,  I need to get to my Vision Board. I have one, but I think it needs to be updated.

My soups were sooooo yummy!! Well… so was my Coconut Pudding! Actually, I  had EXCELLENT food today!

Today I had:
Green Smoothie Soup (spinach, banana, papaya) topped with chopped papaya and strawberries

Coconut Water
1 Pear
Cream of Tomato Basil Soup (tomatoes, avocado,  bell pepper, lemon juice, basil) w/ chopped veggies (Cherry tomatoes, fresh corn, celery , avocado and green onions)
2 Liters of Water
Coconut Pudding (coconut meat, dates, coco water, vanilla powder)

Day 2 LFRV

by Ibis on December 14, 2010

I woke up REALLY sore from yesterdays workout, OUCH! It was really tough to do the 30 day shred today, but I got through it. I may need to take tomorrow off.  I am supposed to to the Plyometrics  P90X DVD tomorrow but I will have to see how I feel. The exercise plan has me doing an exercise  DVD every day, but I may opt for a 30-45 minute speed walk instead. I’ll just have to see how I feel.

All in all I am feeling great. The food has me totally satisfied, I don’t feel deprived. If I feel hunger start to creep on, I’ll just grab some fruit.  Eating this way just really works well for me. My body wants this! I have no digestive issues eating this way. Any other diet leaves me feeling crappy and full and bloated and gassy and constipated, it never ends.

I  stopped weighing myself years ago. I hated being a slave to the damn scale and to the number. But….last week prior to starting THIS program, I was set to start the P90X program, so I took my measurements. I am soooo ready to break out the measuring tape but I know its too soon. The thing is, I feel lighter already! My face is not puffy and my stomach is flat. Gosh that was fast! So anyway I am antsy, but I will hold off for atleast a few days. Do you know there is a scale that allows you to see the fluctuations from your starting weight INSTEAD of how much you weigh. For example +2 pounds or -3 pounds.  Isn’t that awesome? I may need to get that.

Today I had:

Green Smoothie (coconut water, 200 g spinach, 5 bananas)
4 Tangerines
HUGE bowl of Tomato Curry Soup with small avocado and chopped veggies
Bowl of 1 Banana, 3 celery, 4 dates
Steamed Potato w/coconut oil and dash of garlic gold :) Had a craving.

My meals today are similar to yesterdays but the food was THAT tasty. I am really loving celery right now!!!

Heres why I am particularly stoked this time… Mangoes have been in season for [...]
